Goodbye From Here.. For Now

To all of my followers and stalkers out there. It's been great while it lasted. I am no longer going to be keeping up with this blog - at least not for the remainder of the summer and honestly I don't know when/if this blog will ever comeback to life. I'm not going to shut it down but for now this is goodbye. I will miss the comments, the laughs and meeting so many wonderful people from starting this site. When I started it I really needed it for many reasons, but there is a season for everything and it's time to move on. I have decided to truly listen to my heart and God's plan for me (which I need to do more than I do at times) and focus my attention that this blog takes on things much more important. You may see me again in the future. Until next time, I will miss you.

Thinking About It...

A quick update. I really need to go to bed - little sleep makes me feel sick. Argh!

I haven't been posting because I'm considering no longer having this blog. I love it, but when it comes down to it I really don't have the time anymore. I don't want to say I'm going to for sure though because watch me post something random tomorrow. It's been weighing heavy on my heart as to what to do and since I keep having people ask why I haven't posted I felt that I needed to post something. So basically in a tight compacted nutshell that's why there has been no posts.... and the fact that we have been so incredibly busy here I have had no time! Hope all is well and I will let everyone know for sure if I do quit blogging here.

WW: It's Hot

For those of you who noticed the pool picture had my license plate completely showing.. that's a no, no here... anyway since I'm lazy and don't want to fix it right now here's a new picture. :) It's just too hot to not be eating freezes.

Another Project Complete

I've had my wicker furniture for several years now and since I got them I've said I was going to recover the cushions and pillows. However, I could never find material I liked or get myself really motivated to find something and do the work to recover them. About a month ago I happened to just be browsing the fabric at Walmart and found the perfect material (don't even ask why it took so long to get them done if I found it over a month ago - Walmart makes me crazy sometimes). I recovered all the cushions (they were hunter green w/ flowers before - out of date) and the pillows. Kurt is almost done touching up the furniture with white paint. They look great again!

Our Finds . . .

My family and I have been finding some amazing deals on garage sales this year. The goods!

After searching the stores, craigs list, the papers and more... I found myself a dining room table on a garage sale for the bargain price of $200. Isn't is lovely? It looks practically new with just a couple scratches.
My dad got the grandkids a Power Wheels for $20. Landen is really the only one oldest enough so he thinks it's his, but between that and the pocket rocket Ethan and Eli ride with him, the kid thinks he's in heaven. I also found a little powered four wheeler for Amelia for $15.
I found one of those mirrors that's in a stand. I don't really have the 'room' for it but I've always wanted one and it's lovely.

One of those carts you hook to a bike and you can push it like a stroller - holds two kids. The part that connects it to the bike is missing (the man said you can get it on eBay), but for $2 it's great for my sister Sara's house. We used it this past weekend.
Those are some of the bigger highlights - of course we find our regular goods that we need for the kids or just to have. Can't beat a garage sale find! Speaking of which - my grandma is having one the first weekend of June if anyone is interested. Our old table will be on the sale.

Family Picture

Many of you know we had our family picture taken a few weeks back for the church directory. When we were looking at them right after we had them taken (to purchas) I thought they weren't very good at all and though we had the $100 gift certificate I didn't even care to spend it. However we did purchase a frame with three pictures - on the top one of Kurt and I, middle of the family and the bottom of the three children. It looks really cute (I will try to some how scan it!??) Below is the family picture we got that will be in the directory. I think it turned out pretty good.

Landen: Mom, I think we better send them to Jesus so he can send them out to whoever needs them tonight the most.

Right when I think I'm going to go crazy he goes and says something like that.

Some of you know I love the Toyota Sienna commercials and videos - Kurt and I are dorks and find great fun in mocking them all the time. Ha ha! This video is the new best thing, thanks to Mandy for posting because I'm not sure if I would have seen it otherwise. Enjoy!

Mother's Day!

This was probably one of the best mother's days I've had since I became a mom. Relaxing and peaceful. Woke up to my loves telling me happy mother's day, as crazy as days get around here I love them all so much! Got some cute home made cards and a sweet note from Kurt. Went to church, out to lunch, played outside with the kids, Kurt had a hockey game, and now just relaxing. I usually don't mind being on the run seeing Kurt's family and my family, but lately it has been non-stop on the weekends and that's our family time when Kurt isn't at work so I loved it. I hope everyone had a wonderful, peaceful holiday with the ones they love.

We finally made it to the Cinco de Mayo fun this past weekend!

This is why Mother's Have a Holiday..

I got Kurt a bean bag as a gag gift.. long story, but I always say no when he tries/wants to get one. Today the kids are playing nicely, I walk into the other room to put..finally sleeping Brennan in his swing.. in the matter of two minutes or so... I come back to this.....

Oh and this is after I shook Amelia (who had been rolling in it) over the garbage toter to get them off of her. Already removed only the half empty bean bag and thrown out two little garbage cans full of these static beans that stick and go everywhere. I'm sure I'll be finding these until the day I move out of this house - they were everywhere. Thanks to my sister Maggie who came before I strangled someone and helped clean up the damage.

PS. Birds, please do not eat the many that are in our yard and porch from the garbage can falling over .. I don't want to find dead birds all over my yard tomorrow. :(

30th Birthday Photo Montage

My sister Sara and I planned and put together.. what I like to think a 30th birthday Kurt won't forget. He doesn't turn 30 until Tuesday ... but Saturday when we celebrated.. was a lot of fun! There was a special cake, hilarious decor, hockey themed of course... gag gifts fit for a king and the minute to win it games. Thanks to family and friends who came! Puma's .. they'll do!

I finally got my new sneakers, running shoes... whatever you call them. I'm happy, they're cute and super comfortable. What did I finally choose, after all the .. everything is extremely ugly? lol! ;) It's not really, just not my style? Believe me, I looked at everything. Went to a lot of stores and I'm sure got some raised eyebrows at my stuck up in the air nose at what there was to choose from attitude. After all, walking shoes are not flats, heels, etc.. right? ;)So after much thinking, pondering, looking.. I had my heart set on these beauties, the Voltaic II Women's Running Shoes, in purple and gray... but they didn't have them in my size. Boo!

So second choice, but still great.. in my eyes. The Voltaic II Woman's Running Shoes in white and pink. Can't go wrong with pink! I think they're cuter in person. So, I'm ready for a stroll.. anyone want to join me?
